I have been utilizing homemade laundry detergent for many years without encountering any problems. I have found that it effectively maintains the freshness and brightness of my clothes and bedding.

While some prefer liquid detergent, others favor powder. Ultimately, it all boils down to personal preference.

How I make my Laundry soap--

1 box of 4 pounds of pure Baking Soda - I prefer Arm & Hammer brand. Baking soda helps combat odors.

My preference is for Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda, which comes in a 55-ounce box. This product is effective in tackling stains and also works well as a softener.

1 box of 4 pounds of Borax - I prefer to use 20 Mule Team Borax as it acts as a whitener and brightener, enhancing the cleaning power of soap.

1-bar of unscented soap. I usually make my own unscented bar soap, but you can also purchase it at the grocery store.

You will require a cheese grater and a large bowl or bucket.

  1. You want to grade the soap hole soap bar.

  2. You are going to mix all the powerds together. You are going to want to mix outside beacuse it can get dusty. You can also ware a mask when mixing.

  3. Once you have mixed the powders you can then add the graded unsent soap and mix well.

  4. To store you can use plastic tubs or I like large ball jars.

To use

When doing a full load of laundry, I prefer using one-third of a cup.

To apply the soap lightly on your clothes, you should sprinkle it.

There are numerous variations of laundry soap recipes available online, but this particular one is my top choice.
